1966 ~ 1980

Tatyana Savoyarova.beginning

It would be a mistake to say: “a young Saint Petersburg’s artist”, notorious for her radical views on history and theory of arts. In reality, of course, it is all not like that. She represents the whole lineage of Russian artists, her grandfather Mikhail Savoyarov was known as the famous “King of Eccentrics”, Tatyana is just as a typical joker and a Savoyard in Arts as her illustrious grandpa was.

From the first glance, or looking from the distance, her thoroughly and richly detailed paintings bring to mind surrealists like Rene Magritte, graffiti of Eric Sati, or realism of “Black Flemish”. But that is just an illusion, as the artist herself does not claim to be a surrealist or anyone else of such kind.

And this is the point where the information on this topic ends.

Being born in 1966, Tatyana Savoyarova since then has been following this tradition. When observing her works, it is clearly noticeable that poor Pope Innocent III, with all his efforts, still could not eliminate all the Albigoneans.
Being born in December, Tatyana Savoyarova does not try to hide all her doubts. When looking at her pictures, it is really hard to get rigid of the thoughts (by the way the quality has always been considered as an absolutely excess for artists).
Being born on the day 16, Tatyana Savoyarova never lost her persistence. Her art demonstrates that even the most grandiose ideas can be hidden and later revealed in the assembly of the tiniest details.

1980 ~ 2000

artist first of all is a marginal

Never trying to please the authorities, committees, or joining any traditional or official schools (read clans), she chooses for each painting the necessary complex of deep subconscious fetishes by herself. That is why most of painters perceive her art with hardly concealed irritation. Calling her works “marginal” they just again admit her uniqueness, because the real artist first of all is a marginal, with outstanding personality.

2000 ~ 2003

something essential

At the end of this brush something essential can be found, that most of other artists are deprived of. And this, without any doubts, is the most important thing.

2003 ~ 2010

Education?

Do you really ask about education? Well, being a graduate of Geodesy Institute, High School of Music, and the College of Arts, Tatyana Savoyarova combines the depth with vastness, and yet remains an amateur in arts – the object that has always been levels higher than any professional. Graduating in 2007 from High Courses at the Center of Medium Music in the Professor Yuri Khanon's class, Tatyana Savoyarova also was approved as an official ideologist of Figurative Arts and was awarded a certificate of it.

2003 ~

As of today...

As of today, having several hundred of oil paintings on wood or linen this artist still keeps working with the same intensity, almost incessantly, ignoring the other pragmatic matters or career.

2010 ~ 2033

definitely dignity!

Being born in this doubtful World, Tatyana Savoyarova once more proves the World’s undoubted doubtfulness. When looking at her portraits, still life, and landscapes, any viewer cannot help but feel puzzled. And this is definitely her dignity.

The main thing

The main thing that prevails in the paintings of Tatyana Savoyarova is a deep childish fantasy, which resides within the strict margins of thoughts, which is vastly not inherent to the contemporary and academic art.

Being born as a granddaughter of the King of Eccentrics Mikhail Savoyarov, Tatyana Savoyarova still continues to work in this style. Her artworks prove that even nowadays, besides Kings, eccentrics also exist.
